| I've often wondered about something.
I was gone for a year, hostile place, was nearly killed from 'noncombat causes' whatever that means, and I, well, it really just rips me up when I hear another soldier was killed somewhere over there. I made it, they didn't, and sometimes its hard to make sense of everything. You can cram your 'survivor's guilt'. Its more likely being a thinking individual. I stood there at my daughter's crib, feeling a little guilty tonight. Iman never had his 'blasian' kids. I tear up when I remember the pictures of Alva's little girls standing at his grave- their Daddy is gone. It always wakes me up, it could be my children standing there at my grave.
Everything is a little sweeter, and everything is a little more bitter.
Put that in your Abe Lincoln hat and smoke it.

| the beginning was a pledge of eternal struggle the invasion and the submission and an armistice, then broken a violent bloodbath and the cries and then peace

| I've noticed a great percentage of the people who don Harley-Davidson shirts or slap a sticker on their car have little or no interest in getting a motorcycle. It may be bias, but most of these people look and act like idiots. The thing that gets me is most of these people will never actually OWN a Harley. To me this is as stupid as having a 'Mustang: An American Legend' sticker on the back window of your Chevy Cobalt. Nobody does that, you say? I know. Do the math here. 'Well, I really like them'. True, but you don't own one and likely never will. I bet you really liked your slap bracelet, Swatch watch, Hypercolor shirt, tight-rolled pants, slinky, fanny pack, singing billy-bass, ipod, Get 'er done hat and now its Harley Davidson. Congratulations, you are a lemming. Everyone is free to be an enthusiast in whatever they like, but save Harley-Davidson for people who actually OWN one, or wha? -know how to ride a motorcycle.
Better yet, go buy one, and remember, all the really cool and tough guys like to ride without a helmet.

| Posted for posterity. From wwtdd.com , a fabulous site. Roseanne Barr on KCAA radio. Rosanne says: "Never
once in my 54 years have I ever once heard a gay or lesbian person
who’s politically active say one thing about anything that was not
about them. They don’t care about minimum wage, they don’t care about
any other group other than their own self because you know, some people
say being gay and lesbian is a totally narcissistic thing and sometimes
I wonder. I’ve never heard any of them say anything except for “accept me ‘cause I’m gay.” It’s
just, it’s screwed. It’s no different than the evangelicals, it’s the
same mindset. They want you to accept Jesus and you guys want us to all
believe it’s ok to be gay. And a lot of us, a lot of them, I do, I
don’t give a damn who anybody has sex with, as long as they’re not
underage and an animal. I don’t give a damn, it’s none of my damn
business. I’m just sick of all the divisiveness, it’s not getting any
of us anywhere." | | |
